Arg -- this is harder than I thought!
So, I know that I'm WAY late with this, but I'm just now starting crumpets, and already I'm doubting myself. Is the bodice REALLY this hard? I consider myself a fairly accomplished knitter, but that cable row is kicking my butt. Any suggestions? Other than to just power through it?
I just finished the first 8 rows and I am totally looking forward to the miles of stockinette at the end. :)

hey meredith--stick with it--it's so pretty at the end it is worth powering thorough! and yes--i, too felt relieved at the miles of stockinette at the end. :) are you doing the beading, too, or just the cable? what color is yours going to be? just curious...
I ripped it out and started it over (I was only a few rows in) and after knitting the first row instead of starting right in on the pattern, it's going much easier. I think trying to knit in pattern on the tighter cast-on row was the problem. Either way, it's going better now.
I'm not doing the beading -- I figure if I really miss it I can make another one next year when my neice turns two and THAT one can be beaded. :) I'm doing it in a light sky blue, almost like the one on the chiagu.com site. Still debating on the ribbon. Thanks for the support!
